Ever since being labeled the top prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft last summer, Jadeveon Clowney has been the subject of a ton of scrutiny. First he wasn't trying hard enough in games, according to some critics. Others said he was milking injuries to avoid hurting his draft stock.
The criticism has continued into the pre-draft process, and an anonymous personnel man decided to take a shot at Clowney's character behind the veil of anonymity in an article on NJ.com. Never mind the fact that Clowney has added a ton of muscle and improved his technique in each of his seasons at South Carolina, because this man says Clowney has "never worked hard a day in his life."

The Carolina Panthers have lost both Steve Smith and Brandon Lafell from their 2013 wide receiver corps, leaving them with few options in the passing game. According to the Charlotte Observer, DeAngelo Williams was shocked to learn the Panthers had parted ways with Smith and expects an increased role in the offense this season.
Williams even went as far as to say his fantasy football value should be going up considering the lack of weapons in the passing game. The Panthers will certainly have to address wide receiver in the NFL Draft.

The second season back from an ACL injury is usually when a player starts feeling completely comfortable. That seems to be the case for Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb, who tore his ACL in 2012 and returned to action in 2013.
Webb told the Baltimore Sun that he is feeling great now but it took some time to get back up to speed last season. It wasn't until the end of the year until he had full confidence back in his knee. A healthy Webb should be a big boost to the Ravens' secondary in 2014.
"It's been a long, hard road, but I'm here and I'm happy. I'm excited. I'm fired up. There's no bad blood. Now that it's done, I'm happy.''

The Browns center had signed an offer sheet with the Jacksonville Jaguars that appeared tough for the Browns to match. However, it took the Browns hardly any time at all to match the offer and make Mack the highest-paid center in the NFL.
While the contract negotiations with Cleveland were far from smooth, Mack told Cleveland.com that he has no hard feelings toward the team and is excited to play out his new contract in Cleveland.
