D-Jax is day-to-day with a sprained shoulder, but he plans on suiting up in Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.
Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson is feeling more optimistic about his shoulder injury, saying that he "intends to play" next week when the team travels to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
Jackson suffered a sprained AC joint in his shoulder in Sundays win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is considered day-to-day, but avoided structural damage and was feeling better on Monday. Through two games, Jackson has nine receptions for 81 yards.
Fantasy impact: We'll continue to monitor Jackson's progress when Washington resumes practice on Wednesday, but so far all signs are looking good. There's almost no way Jackson will want to miss a road trip against his former team, who unceremoniously dumped him in the offseason.
The next question for fantasy owners is the quarterback situation. Robert Griffin III is out indefinitely with a dislocated ankle, and while Kirk Cousins performed admirably against a bad Jaguars team, he committed seven turnovers in five games last season and needs to put on more consistent performances. Consider Jackson a WR3 for the time being.
