An anonymous source claims he sent video of Rice punching his fiancee to the league's security chief.

An unnamed law enforcement official claims he sent the now-infamous video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiance in a casino elevator to NFL league security chief Jeffrey Miller in April, according to a recent AP report.

The official could not confirm that Miller ever watched the video, but said he did receive a voice mail from the league office confirming the package was received. Miller denied he ever watched or received it, and the NFL said none of its employees viewed it prior to its public release by TMZ.

Miller released the following statement on Thursday night, according to Kevin Clark of the Wall Street Journal:

"I unequivocally deny that I received at any time a copy of the video and I had not watched it until it was made public on Sept. 8."

After initial reports of the confirmation voicemail emerged two weeks ago, the league stood by its long held stance that it had never seen the video, but one NFL executive left the door open on the possibility that it was received and never passed along.

"If there's a delivery sitting under someone's desk there will be consequences," the unnamed exec told Norah O'Donnell of CBS.
