With its 8-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Wild Card Game at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, the San Francisco Giants have advanced to the National League Division Series to play the Washington Nationals beginning Friday.
The Nationals (96-66) had the best record in the National League during the regular season, earning home field advantage through the National League Championship Series should they advance that far. Washington beat the Giants in five of their seven meetings in 2014, including winning two of three games at Nationals Park.
The NLDS will be televised by Fox Sports 1, with Matt Vasgersian on play-by-play, John Smoltz as analyst and Jon Morosi as reporter.
Here is the NLDS schedule:
Game 1: Friday, Oct. 3, 3:07 p.m. in Washington
Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 4, 5:37 p.m. in Washington
Game 3: Monday, Oct. 6, TBD in San Francisco

The Giants have never met the Nationals nor Expos in the postseason, but the New York Giants played the American League's Washington Senators in a pair of World Series. New York won in five games in 1933, while Washington prevailed over the Giants in seven games in 1924.
