The Chiefs last scored a touchdown on their opening drive of the game on December 26, 2010 in a win over the Tennessee Titans.

Until Sunday, that is.

The Chiefs took the kickoff against the Panthers and drove 74 yards down the field in six plays. The highlights were a 21-yard pass to Dwayne Bowe across the middle, which is the longest pass of the year for Brady Quinn. And then Jon Baldwin was left wide open down the left sideline, where Quinn found him. Baldwin brought it inside the five yard line and Peyton Hillis punched it in from two yards out.

The Chiefs first opening drive touchdown in 29 games came at a good time.

Go Chiefs!
