Most of the nation's top 10 college baseball teams were in action on Sunday, and while none suffered an upset, there were some close calls. Oregon, Florida State and UCLA all escaped with one-run victories. Top-ranked North Carolina had the weekend off, and we were deprived of a matchup between top-15 teams when the Vanderbilt-South Carolina game had to be canceled. The Commodores were going for a sweep in that series.
In the only other matchup of top-25 teams, Arizona State defeated Stanford, 11-8.
The highest-ranked team to fall was No. 15 Oklahoma, which dropped a 9-6 decision to West Virginia. No. 20 Ole Miss fell 5-4 to Auburn, while UC-Santa Barbara upset No. 23 UC-Irvine, 7-6.
