Deon Cain, a 2015 athlete, stood out during the second day of the Jimbo Fisher Football Camp. The 6'3, 190 pound Tampa Bay Tech quarterback has somehow flown under the radar of the recruiting sites, but this trend won't continue. While Cain plays quarterback for Tampa Tech, he worked exclusively with the wide receivers Thursday and shined.

"I'd like to eventually come out as a quarterback, but I'm willing to play wherever they want me," Cain said. "I like playing a bunch of positions because each position helps me get better in different ways."

Cain's competitive edge was clear as he challenged any defensive back that wanted an attempt at stopping him - nobody succeeded. He says he has really enjoyed camp. He loves the coaching staff, but more than anything, he loves the competition.

"The coaches have been great - I've really learned a lot from them," Cain said. "But it's really all about the competition for me. I like being challenged because it makes you better."

Cain has surprisingly good hands for a player who normally doesn't play receiver, and plenty of speed. These attributes combined with some great instincts made it tough on any defender that lined up against him on Thursday. Whether it was extending to make a catch at the high point or corralling a back shoulder throw on the sideline, he seemed to do this with ease.

While Cain hasn't received any formal offers, he says he's been contacted by numerous schools including Florida State, Wake Forest, Indiana and a few others.

"A lot of schools have contacted me, but I haven't received an actual offer yet," Cain said. "Coach Dawsey at FSU has been in contact with me a few times and I'm definitely interested in Florida State, but I still have a couple years to figure it out."
