The Minnesota Vikings look to hand the Chicago Bears their third straight loss and draw even in the playoff race.
Jay Cutler has beaten the Minnesota Vikings four straight times with the Chicago Bears. The Vikings are hoping they won't have to face him on Sunday.
Cutler's status remains up in the air as he recovers from a concussion, so Minnesota (6-4) hopes to possibly take advantage to draw even with the Bears (7-3) in the NFC North and playoff race. Backup quarterback Jason Campbell would draw his second straight start should Cutler not be cleared, and the Bears are hoping for an improvement over Campbell's performance last weekend in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Minnesota looks to hand Chicago its third straight loss overall and continue the Vikings' improbable winning ways this season. They'll deploy the league's leading rusher, Adrian Peterson, against one of the league's toughest defenses. Peterson has 1,128 yards rushing with seven touchdowns, but he's averaged only 67.3 yards per game in the Vikings' last four games against the Bears.
Sunday's game will be the first of two meetings in three weeks for the Bears and Vikings. They'll play again Dec. 9 in Minnesota.
